The U.S. Marine Chamber Orchestra spends a lot of time in the White House, entertaining the First Family and guests. It also spent time in the NPR studios recently. Fred Child talks with conductor Lt. Col. Michael Colburn, and the orchestra plays music from movies.
Included in the performance are selections from Elmer Bernstein's score for To Kill a Mockingbird, John Williams' music from Memoirs of a Geisha, and Aaron Copland's Music for Movies.
