Siobhan Armstrong is one of today's top Irish harpers, and head of the Historical Harp Society of Ireland. She plays the ancient traditional wirestrung Irish harp, popular from the 10th century through the 18th century.
From the BBC Studios in Dublin, Armstrong plays a pair of tunes by the most famous of all Irish harpers, Turlough Carolan: "Carolan's Favorite Jig," and "Farewell to Music." She also gives us a compact history of St. Patrick.
