On Wednesday night, soprano Jessye Norman will become only the fourth opera singer to win a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys. NPR's Fred Child talks with her about her friend, Coretta Scott King.
And in tribute to Mrs. King on this day of her funeral, we hear Jessye Norman sing "Beim Schlafengehen," one of the Four Last Songs by Richard Strauss. Kurt Masur conducts the Gewandhaus Orchestra of Leipzig.
