Wright's 'Pride and Prejudice' at the Austen Society

Director Joe Wright's screen adaptation of "Pride and Prejudice" opens today, but members of the Jane Austen Society have already gotten a sneak peek. Some of the group's members have openly criticized the movie, much to the chagrin of the film studio. Marge Pitrof of WUWM in Milwaukee contributed to this report.

Actors Union Sets January Strike Vote

The Screen Actors Guild plans to send strike authorization ballots to more than 100,000 union members Jan. 2. Votes will be counted on Jan. 23. With New Show, Leno Stays At NBC

Starting in fall 2009, NBC is going to program its 10-11 p.m. hour with Jay Leno five nights a week. NBC wanted to keep Leno though it is committed to giving the 11:30 p.m. slot to Conan O'Brien in 2009, and it is cheaper to produce five hours of Leno than scripted dramas.
