Quarantine Effectiveness Under Scrutiny

The SARS outbreak in Asia last spring led to the biggest quarantines seen anywhere in well over half a century. Taiwan alone told more than 150,000 people to say home. Now public health authorities are considering the effectiveness of quarantines as the region braces for a possible resurgence of SARS this fall. NPR's Richard Harris reports.
