The popular online video site YouTube is already the go-to resource for everything from music videos to hilarious outtakes caught on camera. Soon, the Web site may be the place to find some of the best in citizen journalism. YouTube, in partnership with the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting, is sponsoring a competition that aims to find untold stories documented by non-professional aspiring journalists. The contest is in its third and last stage and two of the five finalists are graduate students at the University of North Carolina's School of Journalism and Mass Communications. Host Frank Stasio chats with Eileen Mignoni and Sara Peach about the competition and the involvement of the public in professional journalism.
