A pilot program that gets started next week will allow customers to pre-order local catch from Carteret County fishermen. Graduate students from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment launched the program, called Walking Fish, as a way to support coastal fisheries, which have been disappearing under economic pressure from global competition. Josh Stoll, of Walking Fish, talks to Frank Stasio about preserving North Carolina’s maritime heritage one fish at a time.
