Hurricane Season

Two years ago this month Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans. Among the hundreds of thousands of lives affected were the young men who played football at John Curtis Christian School. North Carolina author Neal Thompson spent the year with the team and its charismatic coach, J.T. Curtis, who also happens to be the son of the school's founder and namesake. The result is the book "Hurricane Season: A Coach, His Team, and Their Triumph in the Time of Katrina" (Free Press/2007). Thompson joins host Frank Stasio to tell the remarkable story of disaster and recovery.
