Remembering Yusuf Salim

Baltimore-born jazz pianist Joseph Blair was better known as Brother Yusuf Salim, an important figure in Durham's music scene and a mentor to many young jazz artists in North Carolina.  Salim, who played with legends like Charlie Parker and Coleman Hawkins, passed away yesterday at the age of 79.
