Raleigh's Resurgent Garment Industry
Wednesday, July 09 2008
by Charles Duncan and Frank Stasio
Sarah Yarborough and Victor Lytvinenko started Verses Jeans in their Raleigh apartment last year. They've since moved into a warehouse near downtown and are shipping jeans to several stores across the county, and even one in the Philippines. The denim, zippers and almost everything else that goes into a pair of pants comes from North Carolina. They join Frank Stasio to talk about their business and their lofty goals to revive North Carolina's garment industry.
