The Duke Center for Documentary Studies Continuing Studies program educates a variety of students with a wide range of interests. Two members of this spring's graduating class are Jennifer Carpenter, also a recent UNC Journalism and Communications Studies graduate, and Lisa Albert, a student at UNC's School of Public Health. Jennifer Carpenter's project is a video account of how semi-professional wrestling forms a bond between a father and son in Cameron, North Carolina. Lisa Albert created an audio-visual account of a Raleigh woman's triumph over drug addiction and homelessness. Along with April Walton, head of CDS' outreach program, they join host Frank Stasio to talk about their projects and how the role of the documentary is changing.
