by Frank Stasio and Susan Davis
Professor Sami Al-Arian is a Palestinian American who was arrested, tried and acquitted on charges of terrorism. At one point Sami Al-Arian was being held in North Carolina, at a medical facility in Bunter. Now in federal custody in Virginia, has been on a hunger strike since early March and is losing strength rapidly. Host Frank Stasio speaks to lawyer Peter Erlinder, and filmmaker Leena Halvorsan about Professor Al-Arian’s ordeal. Sami Al-Arian’s son Abdullah and his daughter Laila also join the conversation.
