Rosetta Baldwin Class of 1963

Bookmark and Share

In 1942, educator Rosetta Baldwin decided to give African-American youth in High Point the opportunity for a better education.  She opened a school, using her living room as a classroom.  The school grew to become an influential institution for countless children.  When graduate Julius Clark ran across his class photo from 1963, he shared it with UNC-G history professor Benjamin Filene who, in turn, charged his students with a challenging assignment: find what happened to the 43 students in the picture.  Julius, Benjamin and two of his students join host Frank Stasio to share what happened to the Class of 1963. This program originally aired on May 2, 2007.
