A novel from a turn-of-the-century environmentalist was recently published. “Smoky Mountain Magic,” by Horace Kephart, is set in the wilderness of Western North Carolina. Dale Ditmanson, Superintendent of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, talks about the newly discovered book and how its author helped establish the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
