Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton will take the stage at 8 tonight for what could be their final debate of the primary season.   It'll air on ABC affiliates nationally. Here in the Triangle, you can catch it on WTVD.

The fate of the proposed NC showdown is still very much up in the air.  Clinton confirmed the proposed April 27th event awhile back, but Obama's staffers say it won't work with his schedule.

Governor Mike Easley asked Obama to confirm the date yesterday.  House Speaker Joe Hackney and Senate Pro Tem Marc Basnight weighed in today, too.  But so far, neither letter seems to have swayed Obama's campaign

More to come...stay tuned. And later on, let me know how you think the debate went!
