Update: The agony of defeat

Rev. Jim Harry's inspired invocation yesterday apparently wasn't enough to bring the Legislative Cup back home to NC. It wasn't even close. Team captain Rep. Phil Haire (D-Jackson) insists there was a strategy behind NC's loss. He says he'll explain it today on the House floor. Can't wait to hear it.
Game MVP was Bryan Holloway (R-Stokes), who pulled off a fairly credible Ty Lawson imitation with 16 points. Congrats!

Update: NC lawmakers may have lost 36-29, but NC lobbyists trounced their SC counterparts 44-29. I'm told MVP for the lobbyists was Lindsay McCargo, one of only two women on the team. She's the legislative assistant of Rep Bryan Holloway, who was MVP in his game as well. (Is there a hoop mounted somewhere in that office?) Congratulations all round!
