Obama: Yes, we can

CNN, MSNBC, AP are calling it for Clinton. So is Obama, who's speaking now, congratulating Clinton on her win, but also congratulating his supporters.
“A few weeks ago, no one could have imagined that we would accomplish
what did tonight here in NH. For most of
this campaign, we were far behind. We always knew the climb would be steep. But
in record numbers, you came out, and you spoke up for change. You came out, and
with your voices and your votes, you made it clear that at this moment, in this
election, there is something happening in America.”
Obama spoke of a new American majority forming to help "working Americans" improve tax fairness, teacher pay, and health care: "We can tell the drug and insurance industry that while they get a seat at the table, they don't get to buy every chair. Not this time. Not now."
Like McCain, Obama praised all of the candidates in the race as "patriots who serve this country honorably."
He's also the only one I've heard use the "I" word tonight: "When I am President of the United States, we will end this war in Iraq and bring our troops home."
And he unveiled what sounds like a new campaign slogan: "Yes, we can." (I guess "Change" has gotten a little too popular lately.)
Yep, it was another stump speech, but it was a really good one. Seems like he's so much better when he's not the frontrunner.
One to go - stay tuned.
