Sorry no roundup this week - the Tavern's on short hours for the holidays. But there's one story I had to post in honor of the season.
The Rudolph clause
The AP reports Governor Mike Easley has temporarily lifted the state's ban on importation of reindeer in honor of Santa's visit tonight.
From the Governor's press release:
“It appears that Santa will have a sleigh full of presents for the children of North Carolina again this year,” said Easley. “I am taking these actions so that Santa can travel freely from Manteo to Murphy as he delivers gifts.”
Easley also reminds kids that they can track Santa's progress at NORAD. You can check out the SantaCam here.
