Parking Fee in Downtown Greensboro

Parking decks in Downtown Greensboro will now cost a couple of bucks at night.

Jeff Tiberii: Along with an increase to the night-time activities in Greensboro has been additional trash and bottles left behind in city-owned parking decks. The transportation department is now implementing a $2 fee for anyone going out after 9 pm and parking at those four locations. One local official says the money will be used to remove garbage, power wash the decks on a regular basis and provide security patrols until 3am. The $2 charge will be in effect every night of the week.
