Panthers Lose Super Bowl, Look Ahead To Next Season

The Carolina Panthers fell 24-10 to the Denver Broncos in last night's Super Bowl.

Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton's MVP season ended in disappointment. He lost two fumbles, threw an interception and failed to produce a touchdown for the only time this season.

Newton's offensive line allowed a record-tying seven sacks last night.

Carolina Tight End Ed Dickson said the Panthers defense was strong, but the offense didn't keep up.

"We let them down and everything like that," said Dickson. "You can't point a finger at one person. But hopefully we can channel this and come back and do great things, you know. We've been to the mountain; we just haven't reached over the top."

Coach Ron Rivera says this is a learning opportunity.

"We'll take a look at this tape and we'll try and figure out if we gave our players enough opportunity to win. Then we've gotta see what went wrong other than that," Rivera said. "This is a good football team. We're a young group of young men that I think are gonna grow and get opportunities as we go forward.

Broncos linebacker Von Miller was named Super Bowl MVP.
