Gubernatorial Candidates Debate Again Tonight
The second of three Gubernatorial Debates between Republican Pat McCrory and Democrat Walter Dalton takes place tonight.
North Carolina’s major party candidates for governor disagreed on taxes, tax incentives, education and the best way to proceed with hydraulic fracturing during a debate earlier this month. With just three weeks before Election Day Lieutenant Governor Dalton trails the former Charlotte mayor by 10 points in the latest Public Policy Poll. The Democratic leaning organization’s latest survey shows no change in the difference between the two candidates since the last debate. Libertarian Barbara Howe is polling at 5-percent. She was not invited to participate in these forums. The third event is next Wednesday in Rocky Mount. You can hear the gubernatorial and Presidential debates live on WUNC, tonight at 7 and 9.
